Resave

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Resave ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Where the Service uses YouTube features or YouTube API Services, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and devices. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Content

You retain ownership of content you add to the Service, including saved URLs, notes, screenshots, photos, videos, tags, buckets, and related metadata. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, display, back up, and transmit your content as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. You must not use the Service to store or share illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.

When you create a Resave share link, you direct us to make that item or album available to anyone with the unlisted link and to let authenticated recipients save or remix an independent copy. Shared albums remain live until you revoke the link; revocation does not remove copies or remixes already accepted. Album remixes preserve the ordered source snapshot accepted when the remix begins and may retain creator attribution unless you shared anonymously. Item edits may appear at a live single-item link. Hard deletion removes active links but does not remove copies recipients already saved. Resave may block a share or account in response to safety, legal, copyright, abuse, or security concerns.

When you send a message or share a save in Social, you direct us to show it to the people in that chat and, if its link is published, to anyone with the link. Messages other people send are their content.

4. Social

Chat rules. Social is for talking with people you choose. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree to these rules before you post or join a chat. Don't use Social to:

Reporting and blocking. You can report a message or a chat and block a person in the app or on the web. Blocking someone stops them from inviting you; in a group, it also means you leave that group. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours. This is our own target, not a guarantee. We report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities.

Enforcement. We may remove messages, remove people from chats and groups, limit features, and ban accounts from Social or from Resave, with or without notice, when we believe these rules were broken or to protect people. A ban removes the account from every group and chat. We use automated filtering to stop objectionable content before it is posted.

Published links. If you publish a chat's link, anyone who has it can read that chat's messages from the moment it was published until the link expires (after 30 days unless renewed) or is revoked, and can reply to join after signing in. Everyone in the chat is told before new messages become readable. You are responsible for who you share a link with. The chat's admin, or the person who made a link, can revoke it. Renewing a link replaces it.

Groups and admins. The person who starts a group is its admin. Anyone in a group can invite others. The admin can remove members and guests and revoke links. If the admin leaves or deletes their account, the earliest remaining member takes over. Joining a group or a chat gives you its full history.

5. AI Features

The Service uses AI providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic, to classify saved items, describe uploaded media, and answer questions over your saved library. AI results are provided as-is and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on AI output as professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical advice.

6. Data & Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes the account data, saved content, uploaded media, AI-generated metadata, and operational data we collect and how we use service providers such as Clerk, Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Anthropic, Iframely, Stream, and Sentry. We do not sell your data or use advertising tracking. You can export a portable copy of your account data and initiate account deletion from the web or iOS app settings.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create security, reliability, legal, or abuse risk. We may ban an account from Social. A ban removes the account from every group and chat and stops it from joining or starting new ones. You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion removes active account data from the Service except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, operational, or backup integrity purposes.

8. Availability and Backups

We work to keep the Service available and protect user data with private storage, access controls, encrypted backups, lifecycle expiration, and restore procedures, but no hosted service can guarantee uninterrupted availability or absolute prevention of data loss. Deleted active data may remain in encrypted backups until the backup lifecycle expires, and restored environments must reconcile deleted accounts before becoming user-accessible. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of content that is critical to you.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
